Valentines Afternoon Tea
Our Valentines Afternoon Tea service is the perfect way to treat that special someone in your life this Valentines. Journey through the Yorkshire Dales and marvel at the winter wonderland scenery, all while enjoying afternoon tea served at your table of one of our cosy heritage carriages. Afternoon Tea will consist of a selection of locally produced sandwiches, scones and cakes served on delicate vintage china. Your afternoon tea will be accompanied by unlimited tea and coffee. There will also be a bar on board for additional drinks.
We will set of at 14.15 on the 16th February from Leeming Bar Station and travel
west up to Redmire with glorious views of Penhill before returning to Leeming
Bar at 17.00 approximately. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to
departure. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know.

Race The Train Trail Race
5½ & 14-mile trail races in Yorkshire Dales National Park, in association with the tourist & heritage Wensleydale Railway
Point-to-point 5½ mile route from Redmire to Leyburn, with train ride to start included in the entry fee
Circular 14 mile route, starting from Leyburn Shawl and finishing at Leyburn station (no train ride!)
‘Race the Train’ back to Leyburn station whilst taking in the stunning views (Roughly a 10 minute/mile pace to “Beat the Train”)
Fully marked course with feed stations en-route
Engraved wooden ‘Souvenir ticket’ & Technical T-shirt for all finishers
Trophies awarded for male & female 1st to 3rd overall, and male & female 1st to 3rd in each age group
The race has a TRA permit (no 2797) and will be held under UK Athletic rules
Cost:
14-mile race: £34 (£32 affiliated)
5½ mile race: £23 (£21 affiliated)- includes train transfer from registration in Leyburn to start at Redmire
A small donation to Wensleydale Railway and other Charitable causes is included in each runner’s entry fee.
Spectators can purchase train tickets to travel to & from Redmire station to watch the start of the short course, or to support long course runners as they pass through. Click here for info
Many local attractions for spectators: watch long course runners as they pass the impressive Bolton Castle, ride on Wensleydale Railway, and soak up the beautiful Yorkshire Dales scenery
In line with many other races, the race will be “cupless” at checkpoints, so please bring your own cup

Mothers Day Afternoon Tea
Treat your amazing Mum to a scenic journey through the Yorkshire Dales and marvel at the new spring scenery as we approach the start of warmer weather, all while enjoying afternoon tea served at your table on one of our heritage carriages. Afternoon Tea will consist of a selection of locally produced sandwiches, scones and cakes served on delicate vintage china. This will be accompanied by unlimited tea and coffee. There will also be a bar on board for additional drinks.
We will set of at 14.15 from Leeming Bar Station and travel west to Redmire with glorious views of Penhill before returning to Leeming Bar at 17.00 approximately. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know at the time of booking.
